Hi Toptherm EC fan and filter unit from Rittal ensures energy-efficient ventilation RITTAL.

Hi Toptherm EC fan and filter unit from Rittal ensures energy-efficient ventilation RITTAL.

Toptherm EC fan and filter unit
Rittal is offering a more energy-efficient means of ventilating enclosures by supplying electronically commutated (EC) versions of the Toptherm fan and filter unit, in all but the very smallest size.

Using the same diagonal fan technology as the standard variant, Rittal Toptherm EC fan and filter unit is claimed to provide improved performance against static pressure, offering a more constant air throughput and energy savings in excess of 60 per cent over previous models.
Compliance with ongoing energy efficiency guidelines can be met and exceeded by using EC motors, while intelligent control and fan status monitoring is available for larger units.
The risk of component failure in the enclosure is minimised by the direct monitoring of fan speed via a tacho-signal output with a malfunction of failure signal, which prompts immediate action.

Key features and benefits:

  • Toptherm provides improved performance against static pressure.
  • It offers energy savings in excess of 60 per cent over previous models.
  • It exceeds energy efficiency guidelines.
  • Infinitely variable speed control offers a means of conserving energy further by operating the fan at a speed determined by the demand for cooling.
  • Programmable logic controller may be used to control the fan motor, via a 0–10VDC or pulse-width-modulated signal.
  • There is a minimised risk of component failure in the enclosure.

Hi Product Alert - " Air Flow Meter For Ventilation Monitoring."

Hi - "Airflow meter for ventilation monitoring":

Airflow Meter:
Fluke has introduced the Fluke 922 Airflow Meter, a rugged tool designed to provide an easy-to-use solution for ventilation monitoring and diagnostics applications in the field.
Fluke, supplier of handheld test and measurement equipment, has introduced the Fluke 922 Airflow Meter, a rugged tool designed to provide an easy-to-use solution for ventilation monitoring and diagnostics applications in the field.
Combining differential air pressure, air velocity, and air flow measurements into a single meter, the Fluke 922 enables technicians to conveniently monitor air pressure across key HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) components and to help maintain a comfortable environment by checking for optimum airflow balance.

The new Fluke 922 Airflow Meter is designed to diagnose ventilation issues.
It enables optimisation of HVAC ventilation settings, the maintenance of correct pressurisation to keep out contaminants, and the monitoring of pressure drop across filters and coils to ensure peak airflow performance and extend equipment life.
The Fluke 922 is suitable for use by facilities maintenance technicians, HVAC contractors and Indoor Air Quality consultants for use in industrial complexes, commercial buildings as well as in institutions such as schools, hospitals, etc.
The Fluke 922 Airflow Meter is compatible with most Pitot tubes, and allows HVAC technicians to enter duct shape and dimensions to maximise measurement accuracy.
It features coloured hoses designed to help users easily interpret air pressure readings; Min/Max/Average/Hold functions for convenient data analysis; a bright, backlit display for clear viewing even in dimly-lit environments; and an automatic power-off function to conserve battery life.

The Fluke 922 is available as a standalone unit with 2 rubber hoses in a soft carry case, or as the Fluke 922/Kit which also includes a 30cm Pitot Tube, a ToolPak magnetic hanger and a hard carry case.
